Jonttu Sport Rod is a super sensitive, quality Palm Rod made in Finland and used for competition fishing in the Nordic Regions and across Russia. The design has a reel spool with a metal line guide in the handle. The Reel is hard molded plastic for durability with a fiberglass blank for lots of backbone to set the hook. Rod comes with a terrific Strike Indicator (SB18). Also available are interchangeable Strike Indicators with varying levels of sensitivity. Rod blank measures 7".



JONTTU SPORT PALM ROD features:
The body and reel parts are made of the ABS plastic which retains high strength at low temperatures. The tip of the rod is made of fiberglass and outfitted with a sensible Strike Indicator. The working length of indicator can be adjusted. The reel is free spooling. When triggered by a strike or playing a big fish, braking is controlled by applying hand pressure to the reel spool. The reel can be set at a preset depth and the black knob can be tightened for hand lining a fish to the ice. Returning the lure and line into the water to a preset depth for getting back to the school means you can avoid depth variances. The high precision molded parts prevent reel misalignment and malfunctioning. The special opening in the rod's body has a foam-like insert hook keeper for protecting your Wolfrman Jig while not in use. The back of the reel body has a corrugated surface.
